Stewart County Arrest Feed Windows
The iSOMS portal handles fresh Stewart County bookings. It splits live data into a current roster, a 24-hour view, a 240-hour view, and a name search. These are views of one booking dataset. None is a separate police report. Entry times are intake times. No posting time appears, and a minute-by-minute refresh is not promised. So a new arrest can wait online while transport, identification, data entry, and image processing finish. The official iSOMS portal also offers Jail, Search, recent intake and release, Most Wanted, and Crime Tip routes. That keeps official choices clear.

Names, page counts, and custody fields shift as the detention center processes each person.
| View | Custody stage | Best use | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current roster | Current public jail list | Confirm present county custody | Not a full archive |
| Last 24 hours | Recent intake and release | Check a fresh booking | Rolling, not a calendar day |
| Last 240 hours | Wider recent activity | Catch a record after day one | Not a weekly archive |
| Name search | Current and released options | Find a known person | No public booking-number field |
For same-day results, use the Daily Arrest Report. The wider blotter sits in the Weekly Arrest Log. One tracks a single day, while the other spreads Stewart County arrests across a full week.
Why New Arrests May Lag
Deputies and detention officers in Stewart County work around the clock, the sheriff reports. That says nothing about web refresh timing. An arrest by Dover Police, the sheriff's office, or the Tennessee Highway Patrol still needs transport and booking first. Only then does the county record appear. iSOMS stamps the intake time, not the posting moment. A missing row right after an arrest is common. Recheck later, or call when time matters.
County staffing history explains how fast the feed can move. A 2019 analysis counted 4,856 bookings and 4,885 releases. Friday brought 853 bookings against 516 on Sunday. Those are dated operating figures, not a forecast, but they show why page depth and rolling cutoffs shift. A news story's publication day can also differ from the jail intake day.
A recent arrest may not be online yet. For urgent custody questions, call the Sheriff's Office at (931) 232-3114.
Search Stewart County Arrest Records
With a name in hand, the official public inmate search is the strongest starting point. Its controls are First Name, Last Name, Released, and Search. There is no booking-number box. A-through-Z filters and pagination give another path when spelling is uncertain.

The released option matters. Once a person leaves custody, they drop off the default list even though the booking record still exists.
| Control | Use | Check |
|---|---|---|
| First Name | Enter the displayed first name | Try known spelling |
| Last Name | Narrow the roster | Compare intake and agency |
| Released | Include released records | Confirm current status by phone |
| A-Z filters | Browse surname groups | Expect page depth to change |
A sound lookup climbs a source ladder. Open the 24-hour view for a very fresh intake. Then extend the window to 240 hours. Search the roster by name, using the Released option where it fits. Compare intake time, city, arresting department, charges, and bond rows before trusting a match. Request the record once it rolls off the web. The current roster page displays A-Z tools, page navigation, and record cards straight from the county, ahead of any secondary publisher.

Live page counts change often. That is normal for an active custody list, so a saved count never stays permanent.
Stewart Arrest Record Fields
An iSOMS entry can hold far more than a name and charge. Fields may be blank or differ by record. One arrest can also carry several charge rows. Booking is the intake snapshot; the court clerk keeps the later docket and disposition.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name, age, class, race/sex | Identity and classification shown by iSOMS |
| Intake date and time | When county intake was recorded |
| City | City value on the entry |
| Arrested By Department | Agency named in the record |
| Arrested By Officer | Officer when populated |
| Release date | Release data when available |
| Charge and bond | Accusations and bond by row |
| Image | Booking image on some entries |
Bond is not a sentence. A blank release field says nothing final either. For pleas, dismissals, diversion, and judgments, consult the Stewart Circuit, Criminal, General Sessions and Juvenile Court Clerk. Circuit Court handles felonies. General Sessions covers misdemeanors and traffic matters.
Stewart County Arrest Photos
Booking under Tenn. Code Ann. § 8-4-115 calls for a photograph, but that does not mean every image lands on public iSOMS. Some Stewart County records show a photo. Others come back as text only. The county publishes no blanket photo policy, no fixed schedule, and no promise that every retained image stays visible. A missing web photo does not mean the jail file lacks one.
Want a photo that is not displayed? Ask the custodian for the booking image by name, date range, booking time, and arresting agency. Confidentiality rules, redaction, juvenile law, a court order, or another exception can affect release. The Tennessee Department of Correction FOIL search may carry a later state offender photo, but it covers felony offenders in TDOC custody or under supervision. It is not a fresh county feed.
Unofficial publishers follow their own schedules. Busted Newspaper and Mugshots.com maintain Stewart sections, but neither is the custodian, and their copies can be stale, incomplete, or wrong. RecentlyBooked, Arrests.org, and Mugshots.zone list no live Stewart section, so county and court records should control.
A booking photo documents an arrest and a person's identity. It belongs to the jail file.
Request Stewart County Arrest Records
The county site links the Public Records Request Policy and its form. Name the Sheriff's Office and Jail as the likely custodian. Describe the existing booking record or photograph in enough detail to locate it. Tennessee law does not require an office to create a report. Nor must it chase a vague request.

The county page carries the current form, since fees and procedures can change.
- Give the full name and any known alias.
- State a booking date range and arresting department.
- Ask separately for the booking record and photo.
- Say whether inspection or copies are wanted.
- Ask for the legal basis of any redaction and for non-exempt portions.
The county lists no booking-photo fee or turnaround promise. State guidance separates inspection from copies. Inspection is generally free unless another law applies, while reasonable copy and labor costs may be charged under the current policy. Ask for an estimate, and remember that office hours are not a response deadline.
Tennessee Arrest Law and Removal
Tennessee's Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 10-7-503 and following, generally gives citizens access to government records unless a law, rule, or order makes material confidential. The law covers documents, photos, and electronic files made or received in official business. Juvenile information stays closed. So do confidential identifiers, investigative material, and sealed records. A public booking row changes none of that.
Tennessee has no separate mugshot-publication statute. It has no anti-pay-to-remove statute either. Practical routes are correction by the custodian, a court disposition, expungement when eligible, and a publisher's documented free process. Under Tenn. Code Ann. § 40-32-101 and TBI guidance, expungement starts in the court where the case arose. Eligibility depends on the disposition and other facts. A completed order can go to the arresting agency, jail, TDOC, and TBI.
The TBI expungement guidance explains the official path. Correct the source first, then send a publisher that copied it a signed court order. Mugshots.com publishes a free documentation-based maintenance process, while Busted Newspaper offers only a contact route. Do not pay an intermediary who promises certain deletion. If a search result lingers after the source changes, use the search engine's outdated-content process.
Stewart Arrest Warrants and Wanted
The official Warrants route may show an empty list. An empty result means no warrant cards are posted, not that no active warrants exist. It is not a warrant clearance search either.

The sheriff posts no separate most-wanted gallery. Confirm a possible warrant with the sheriff at (931) 232-3114, the clerk at (931) 232-8474, or an attorney. Never approach a person based on a wanted listing. Call 911 for a threat.
After a Stewart County Arrest
The booking row starts the record. Arraignment is an early court appearance where charges and rights are addressed. Bond sets release conditions while a case is pending. Disposition is how a charge ended, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, diversion, or judgment, and those events belong to the court record.
The county court page lists the clerk at 225 Donelson Parkway, Dover, (931) 232-8474, along with office hours. Tennessee Public Case History is appellate only. It is not a local booking search. Start with the Stewart clerk.
Custody can move beyond the county. TDOC FOIL covers state felony custody or supervision and may show a photo, while the BOP locator covers federal inmates and ICE covers certain immigration detention records. Choose the locator by the actual custodian, not a broad name search.
Where Stewart Arrests Get Published
Official sources come first. News adds context, and unofficial archives can supply a lead, but neither confirms custody or an outcome.
| Channel | Status | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Stewart iSOMS | Official; some images | Roster, recent windows, name search |
| TDOC FOIL | Official state | State felony custody or supervision |
| Stewart County Standard, WSMV, NewsChannel 5 | News | Selected events and crime briefs |
| Busted Newspaper, Mugshots.com | Unofficial | Secondary lead; verify every fact |
The Stewart County Standard runs Stewart County crime briefs. WSMV and NewsChannel 5 cover selected events. One story is not a complete arrest log. Commercial pages can preserve old booking rows after the county view changes, and their counts prove nothing about custody or outcome.
Dover Recent Arrests
Dover anchors Stewart County's certified 2025 city report. It stands alone. The city publishes no public arrest log of its own. Anyone arrested in Dover still lands in the county iSOMS system after booking, and the Arrested By Department field will flag an MPD arrest. The Dover Recent Arrests page walks through both routes, the city report path and the county booking path.
Want alerts when one person's custody changes? Use the VINELink Inmate Check. Tennessee documents its VINE service, and the live Stewart County selection sits inside the tool itself.
Does release erase an arrest row? No. Release changes custody only, and a row can leave the current roster while the record stays with its custodian and the court case runs on.
Stewart Records Past the Roster
The online roster is not the retention archive. The county publishes no fixed booking-photo retention term. Records leave the 24-hour and 240-hour views. A booking can drop from current custody without the file being destroyed. Ask the sheriff or the county Public Records Request Coordinator for the current schedule and a date-bounded record. Stewart County Archives, P.O. Box 367, Dover, preserves county legal records. Its page promises no modern mugshot collection.
For an old series, start with iSOMS and the released search. Then file a county request. Ask Archives whether that exact series was transferred. Tennessee retention guidance from CTAS and the Secretary of State is a framework for preservation, not proof that a specific jail image moved to the state archive. State corrections annual reports at Digital Tennessee offer TDOC context. They are not Stewart booking cards.
- Booking
- The jail intake process that records identity, charges, property, and other fields.
- Arraignment
- An early court event addressing charges and rights.
- Bond
- Release terms set while a case is pending.
- Disposition
- The official outcome of a charge.
- Expungement
- A court-governed process that removes eligible charges from a record.
Stewart Booking Agencies Explained
The Arrested By Department field is among the most useful details in iSOMS. It separates agencies. A Dover Police arrest, a sheriff's arrest, and a Tennessee Highway Patrol arrest all process through the same county booking point. Read it beside the intake time and the city. It will not show which court resolves every charge. Never identify a person by name alone.
Agency ownership also shapes records requests. The arresting department may hold the incident report and officer narrative. The detention center holds the jail booking entry and may hold the booking photograph. The court clerk keeps the docket and disposition. A narrow request to the right office beats asking one office for everything tied to an arrest.
Dover's city form covers an MPD-held report. County policy and the county request form control a sheriff or jail record. For a Highway Patrol matter, the state agency may hold its enforcement report while Stewart County remains the booking source. Verify each record where it was created.
Note: The agency field names the arresting department, while the Stewart County detention record carries the county booking, custody data, release field, charge rows, bond values, and any image shown.
